IMO… all cigars should be allowed to sleep naked for at least 90 days. Now, there are some blends that come aged and don’t require so much time. Usually, but not always, these will be your more expensive cigars. However, I give them the benefit of the doubt and do it anyway. It’s a double edge sword. Too much humidor time for full strength smoke can take away that edginess you’re looking for. However, usually, a creaminess develops that is not normally there. As far as separating them… Absolutely, if you have some cigars that are heavy in baking spices, especially cinnamon, they can bleed over into cigars that weren’t intended to have that flavor. Hope this helps.

I have not aged any cigars. Any suggestions on what cigars I could allow to age, what's a good time frame and how to resist the temptation to smoke them? Do you separate them from other cigars?

My humidor will hold up to 300 cigars (it has never been full) it has 3 shelves and 1 drawer.

    Suggestions please 🥺

As far as not smoking them before they’re ready… Good luck with that :-). Take five of your favorite cigars straight off the truck.. smoke one. Wait 30 days, smoking another one. Repeat the process… my money says that fifth cigar will be the best.
