the production manager of Nicaraguan American Cigars S.A. It’s the latest in the Muestra de Saka Series, which is a collection of different cigars and blends that the company says “reflect(s) the blending machinations of (Steve Saka),” the company’s founder. He says the goal of the project is to “share world class cigars that otherwise never would be enjoyed by anyone, but myself and my closets friends” because of the higher costs associated with production of these specific cigars.
Saka told halfwheel that he asked Disla to make four different blends. He and Disla smoked the cigars and disagreed on which was the best. This version is the one that Saka liked. It is the first Muestra de Saka release to be described as “full bodied” by Saka.
Pricing is set at $17.95 and it will be sold in boxes of seven cigars each in coffins.
The cigar was originally going to be called Stolen Valor, which refers to when a person falsely claims military service or accomplishment. Saka said he changed the name because it made more sense given that he was crediting Disla with creating the blend.
This is the fifth cigar in the series to be released.
