Share a Smoke with Manolo Santiago from Casa 1910 Cigars

The mustachioed co-founder and blender for Casa 1910 Cigars, Manolo Santiago, arrives in a professional cigar maker’s shirt to share the Casa 1910 Cavalry Edition As de Oro, made of seven tobaccos and named after the most elegant of Pancho Villa’s horses. Santiago brings out his own Mexican pairing: the Casa 1910 As de Oro and Cuervo Reserva de Familia Reposado tequila. Manolo describes how to prepare the palate to receive flavors, a process he calls “cigar yoga”. The guys decide it will forever be known as “the Manolo” inside the offices of Cigar Snob magazine. Manolo reveals his background as an attorney before he developed an interest in hospitality and wine, then fell in love with cigars while studying in Spain and started his journey to Casa 1910.
