Diesel Unveils Sunday Gravy Pecorino

Diesel is offering up a tasty new blend for fans of Sunday Gravy. The new cigar called, “Diesel Sunday Gravy Pecorino” is the second in a series of limited-edition cigars in the Sunday Gravy line. It follows Sunday Gravy San Marzano, which was released in the summer. Sunday Gravy Pecorino is now available in stores nationwide.

Diesel Sunday Gravy Pecorino Notes & Blend Info

Sunday Gravy Pecorino features a Mexican San Andres wrapper, a Cameroon binder, and Nicaraguan Esteli Habano filler. Flavor notes include hints of pepper along with subtle sweetness imparted from the Cameroon binder. Combined with the bold and flavorful filler, this medium-bodied smoke delivers a unique and multifaceted flavor profile. Diesel Sunday Gravy Pecorino is handcrafted at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Esteli, Nicaragua.

Like earlier Sunday Gravy releases, Sunday Gravy Pecorino is the product of a collaboration between Justin Andrews and AJ Fernandez. Andrews is the senior brand manager of Diesel.

“AJ and I had a lot of fun blending Diesel Sunday Gravy Pecorino. And as often happens over Sunday sauce, we brought our opinions to the table. ‘Pecorino’ represents what he and I both believe is the best of our palates: AJ’s nod to a bold smoke is there on the Nicaraguan ligero filler, and my style is represented through the complexity and balance of the Mexican San Andres wrapper,” he said.

Diesel Sunday Gravy Pecorino Size, Cost, & Availability

Diesel Sunday Gravy Pecorino is only available in one size: robusto gordo (5X56). Both Fernandez and Andrews agree it is the best size for enjoying the blend. Sunday Gravy Pecorino has an SRP of $4.99 per cigar.

Sunday Gravy Pecorino is slated for a run from October 2021 until December 2021 –– or as long as supplies last. It will be followed by the next iteration of the Sunday Gravy line in January of 2022. Sunday Gravy Pecorino is the second of four Sunday Gravy limited-edition cigars. It takes its name from the Italian cheese, which is often substituted for more expensive varieties.
