CAO Unveils Arcana Thunder Smoke
CAO is releasing the third cigar in its Arcana lineup, Thunder Smoke. Named for Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe — “The Smoke That Thunders,” this is the first cigar in the US to feature South African tobacco as well as the first to include a filler blend featuring three different African countries.
CAO Thunder Smoke Blend Breakdown
Thunder Smoke features a Honduran Olancho San Agustin wrapper and a Mexican San Andres binder. However, it’s the filler blend that answers their “We Go Where The Tobacco Takes Us” mantra. With tobacco from Cameroon, Zimbabwe and South Africa, this cigar marks the first time any cigar has featured South African tobacco in the United States.

CAO Thunder Smoke offers tasting notes of herbs, hazelnut, cocoa, and raisin. For a drink pairing, look to aged rum, espresso or a stout to complement the unique flavor of this one-of-a-kind cigar.
CAO Thunder Smoke Product Information and Availability
CAO Thunder Smoke is a limited release available in a 6.5 X 52 Toro Grande vitola. Production is limited to 5,300 boxes, each containing twenty cigars. The SRP per cigar is $12.99. This cigar can be recognized on shelves by its bright blue lettering with subtle zebra-stripe accents.
About the Arcana Series
The CAO Arcana series was first introduced in 2021 with Mortal Coil. Per CAO brand materials, the series “seeks to uncover the rarest tobacco forms and techniques from all corners of the world.”
Mortal Coil, the first in the series, featured andullo tobacco, a native growing technique to Nicaraguan cigar manufacturers of old. The second release, CAO Firewalker, featured chincagre tobacco, a process that ferments the leaves in volcanic soil.
