CAO fan favorite Amazon Basin is back in stores! Amazon Basin features a rare type of Brazilian tobacco known as Bragança. Grown only on unspoiled tropical land in the Amazon Rainforest, Bragança tobacco is grown in small batches where the light breaks through the dense rainforest canopy. Amazon Basin first hit the market in 2014.

CAO Amazon Basin Blend Breakdown

In addition to the Bragança tobacco, Amazon Basin contains filler tobaccos from Colombia and the Dominican Republic. It has a Nicaraguan binder and an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. It is a medium-to-full-bodied smoke with rich-tasting notes of earth and fruit. This complex and unique blend gives CAO Amazon Basin an uncommon but striking smoking experience.

Cory Beardsley, Senior Brand Manager for CAO, said, "When we launched Amazon Basin over a decade ago, we had no idea how much it would resonate with fans. Sourcing rare tobacco from the rainforest, transporting it by canoe, and growing it on unspoiled land was a logistical nightmare—but we knew the end result was a cigar worth the effort. We’re thrilled to bring back this special blend for 2025 and answer the calls for more Amazon Basin.”

Suggested drink pairings for Amazon Basin include pinot noir and single-malt Scotch.

CAO Amazon Basin Product Information & Availability

Though CAO Amazon Basin has returned several times since its introduction, it remains a limited-edition product. A limited supply of boxes have been made available for purchase.

Boxes include eighteen cigars. CAO Amazon Basin is available in only one size: a classic 6X52 Toro. Interestingly, it does not have a typical paper band, but rather, several strands of tobacco wrapped around the rest of the cigar in place of a band.
