Alec Bradley Launches Chubby New Cigar, Chunk Maduro

Alec Bradley is launching a new cigar that will look familiar to longtime fans of the brand. For years, Alec Bradley has released cigars in the “Chunk” frontmark (approximately 4 X 60) under other lines (Magic Toast, Double Broadleaf, Gatekeeper, among others.). Now, the brand is unveiling a powerful new blend dedicated to these squat smokes called Chunk Maduro that will begin shipping in late October. 

Alec Bradley Chunk Maduro Blend Breakdown

Chunk Maduro features a rich Mexican Maduro wrapper, a Honduran Jamastran binder, and Dominican Piloto and Nicaraguan Estelí filler tobaccos. It was manufactured at the HATSA factory in Danlí, Honduras.

Chunk Maduro offers tasting notes such as wood, pepper, nuts, and molasses. It is a medium-bodied smoke. Suggested drink pairings include rye whiskey, port, and stout.

Alec Bradley Chunk Maduro is available in five frontmarks — two of which are limited editions. The full-time offerings include XL (4 X 60), 3XL (4 X 66), and 4XL (4 X 80). The limited-edition cigars are the L (3 X 58) and the 2XL (Torpedo, 4 X 64). Alec Bradley Chunk Maduro features red-and-gold branding on wooden boxes. All Chunk Maduros come in boxes of 20, except for 4XL, which contains 18 cigars per box. SRP per cigar ranges from $5.59 to $8.29, depending on size.
