Smoked: Undercrown Shade Gordo

New to the group my brothers..a question...I've heard that the bitter flavor of some smokes can be caused by smoking too fast. Is this true? Can one smoke too fast??? I've often cured bitter flavors by "purging" my stick..essentially blowing out through the stick for a second or two, then resuming my smoking...it makes a world of difference.

Welcome! I've heard that it's true that if one smokes too fast a cigar can taste bitter. However, I wouldn't know. I've been known to make a robusto last almost 2 hours. Take your time. Savor the smoke. Perhaps a few gentle puffs every 45 seconds or so would help. Cheers!

You sure don't want a cigar too hot, let it breath after a puff or two, about 40 seconds to a minute. Sometimes I will almost let the stick go out, then slowly bring it back to life. Have a wonderful smoke experience. 👊
