Whiskey Saturday.

The Bourbon was a gift from a friend and the cigars were a get based on curiosity as I have tried & enjoyed Rabbit Hole bourbon.

The cigar & the homegrown Louisiana "bourbon" whiskey played very well together…like a well trained German Shepard & a kindred Doberman Pincher.

Woody, sweetness with finessed spice from the Gigante enhanced the cognacesque but soft oaky-ness of the strong but not overpowering wheated nectar. At 100 proof, although not labeled Bottled in Bond, the muscle was present but not "actin' a fool".

The artfully crafted & constructed Gigante held it's own and is a definite revisit with some bolder Bourbons but that's for another Whiskey Saturday or some other day that ends in a "y".
