There used to be so many choices for sticks with Candela wrapper. I guess I am just old school sometimes. Argyle makes a decent Candela Churchill and Rocky Patel Edge has Candela. I find the RP too robust for a Candela. When I want a robust stick I stay with AJ or Don Peppin offerings. This Baccarat Churchill is a bit of old school and I enjoy it each time.

(7 months ago)I have never seen a Candela in a smoke shop or online. Where do you find them?

(7 months ago)Holt cigar carriers the Argyle, Thompson and Cigar.com the Baccarat. The RP Edge I have bought online different places. Normally you have to put the search filter on Candela wrapper.

(7 months ago)Yes! Yes! Yes! Brother, I yearn for Candela sticks like those from the '70's. Many thanks for this recommendation. I agree about the RP Candela. I will most definitely check out the Baccarat Churchill.

(7 months ago)Yep, it is, although some from the box I purchased a while back were quite good, others not so much. A luck of the draw kind of thing.
Have you ever tried the Espinosa Wasabi Robusto? Although its flavors don't quite take me back to Ye Olden Daze, it's nonetheless a delicious green cigar. I recently located some in a Lancero vitola and am awaiting delivery. I'm looking forward to smoking them after about 3 or 4 months in my humidor. Wasabi's tend to need some resting time to fully deliver. The only thing I don't like about them is, for some screwy reason, Erik decided to cap them in some sort of non-Candela tobacco. I try to cut as much of that nonsense off to fully savor that unmistakable Candela flavor. 😉
