This is the third of a series of Kauai Cigar Company cigars I received as a gift.
The size is called a Momona (5.75 x 50).
These Kauai cigars are on the milder/medium scale so I have been pairing them with a morning coffee instead of an evening bourbon and it seems to be working.
So I did the same thing for this Wai’ale’ale version.
The start was not good, dang It! It was the same modus operandi as the last stick from Kauai I smoked. It was puzzling because I know I enjoyed the Ku’e version so much and then I remembered the Makaleha cigar that kicked in after a few minutes. The first half inch or so was less than stellar.
Bingo was his name-o.
After the first few minutes it was like someone switched the light on - literally, the sun came out … and I kicked back.
That light creamy, smooth awesome flavor was damn near perfect...to the end. Perfect burn (on one light), perfect puffy light smoke and perfect ash.
I had planned to take another photo about mid-burn but got lost in the moment and didn’t put the cigar down until my fingers got toasty.
In Hawaiian, Wai’ale’ale means ‘Rippling Waters’.
