I am so grateful to @shortstackz for sharing this rare, limited-edition cigar with me. Unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. It had major burn issues and severe draw problems (no matter how many times I cut the head) that caused a very bitter flavor profile that I was not expecting from an LFD. Smoke production was minimal. This must have been a poor-construction fluke. How I wish that I could give a more glowing review of such a generous gift. I’m so sorry, shortstackz. 😞

(3 months ago)Ohhhh no! I do find on the chisels that the burn is never good. Wobbly is usually the best you can hope for however, I’m sorry that it really messed with the flavor profile, while I find it to be a flavorful and complex cigar, not as complex as the double ligaro but close, that one was cooking for a while too. I must have sent you a lemon🍋. 🤔 I keep a box on hand and occasionally, on top of the combustion issues, they will unravel on me. So why do I put up with all that… I guess because when they’re right… They’re right👍🏻 We will get ya up and running!

(3 months ago)You are too kind, my brother. No need to send another. While I do greatly appreciate your generosity, I am overstocked (and that's not a bad thing!!! 🤣) with plenty of stogies, and there are still a couple from you waiting for just the right time to check them out. Thank you so much anyway! 😊

(3 months ago)That sucks especially since it was a gifted stick I actually don't have much LFD experience although I know I have a few in one of the humidors.

(3 months ago)Yeah, it happens, unfortunately. As we all know, premium cigars are handmade, so sometimes detrimental irregularities occur.
The LFD Ligero L 400 (the one with the lighter shade wrapper, not the oscuro) was the first cigar that taught me about complexity and flavor transitions. Fabulous cigar.
