Moving through a Montecristo sampler pack, I move on to the ‘Monte’. I love the look and feel of this cigar right off the bat. The leather color wrapper is smooth and rich, band is very dressed up, it ticks a lot of my boxes. Very even burn and draw through the whole stick. Aside from one minor touch up at the beginning it was smooth sailing all the way. The flavor is dark chocolate and leather with a slight woodsy character. I instantly think of relaxing in a comfy arm chair at a wood cabin on vacation. Around the halfway mark I got a nice coffee taste joining into the mix. Paired well with an espresso which was a dark roast made by a malt provider I work with.
