This is the second of a series of Kauai Cigar Company cigars I received as a gift.
It was a good smoke to start a Friday with. I pulled a chair and sat down with an overflowing cup of coffee for over an hour with this bad boy. The size is a Momona, which I think is a Robusto.
To be honest, the start was a little wonky for me but after few puffs, it leveled out.
The construction was also a little off with some wrapper damage and a cap that wasn't finished properly.
To get the rest of the negative things out of the way: the price point is pretty high AND I have to admit that I liked the Ku'e cigar better from Kauai.
SO…the positives? It was a good stick; there was nothing bad about the actual smoking of the cigar. The flavor was nice and mellow and perfect for a morning smoke (with coffee). Very smooth. The burn quality was A+ and I smoked the dang thing down to the nub. I would not pass up another chance to smoke this cigar
I really enjoyed being able to smoke something that isn't readily available on every shelf.
I still have 4 cigars left in the sampler pack so let's see what else Kauai can deliver.
How do you say 'Thank You' in Hawaiian? Makaleha
