Big Gordo

Smoked: Mark Twain Memoir #2

Pennsylvania Maduro broadleaf wrapper around Nicaraguan filler and binder in a 6X60 Toro Gordo. Thick in my hand and feels even larger than stated size. Medium Plus flavor profile with coffee and cedar notes forward. Did have to relight this several times, but draw was adequate. Bought a box of 20 and this was first one. Hopefully some humidor time will help the combustion issue. Overall solid smoke.

    Interesting. To honor my late father who was a steamboat buff and a fan of Mark Twain, I've been tempted to buy a box of the Mark Twain Riverboat cigars. However, barber pole cigars just don't do it for me. If anyone happens to have an empty box, the one with the riverboat artwork, please let me know. I'd be happy to take it off your hands.

      I havent tried the box of Riverboat barber poles yet, but this was a pure stick. The Pennyslvania wrapper was very interesting.
