If they come cellophane, leave them as all you’ll do is increase the potential for damage during handling.
Humidity control is the same but, you can see them in their aging process by the outgassing tinting the cellophane.
I have some glass tube Macanudos still sealed for six years.
They look great and should smoke well.

ill keep them in the wrapper but might cut the ends off. so when you go threw to pick out the right stick you dont mess them up. i would take it out of the tube, but keep it to travel to places.
I personally keep the cellophane on but take out of the tubes. Keep the tubes, they work great for traveling with cigars.

Keeping cello on will help protect the wrapper from accidental tears when handling your cigars. Other than that I don't see the difference with on or off, so it's an individual's preference. I do liked the look of "naked" cigars in a desktop. Tubes are different than cello in my opinion. They can create a micro climate especially for long term storage/aging. What that will result to, I don't truly know since personally I have had cigars stored for years and I can't distinguish a significant difference.

Many manufacturers wrap their cigar with cellophane or put them in tubes to include the mandatory warning labels and protect the cigar while sellers are handling it.
