While listening to The Doors with a Davidoff and tequila and lime, I thought about an interesting “YouTube” from Davidoff in London. It deals with the virtues of patience and lighting a cigar with a match or soft flame. I’m sure that I’m as bad as anyone being in a hurry to light up, particularly when enjoying a smoke with friends. I found that going slow with a soft flame or match. I have gotten to the point that when enjoying a good smoke like this Escurio that it is worth the wait to go slow. I hope that I can put a link to the YouTube under comments.

(4 days ago)Agreed with all that enjoy the Sahakiens in their videos. I've learned quite a bit about the Pleasure of Cigars from them.
In a video with some Cigar guy I'm sure many of you know, the Sahakiens sat down with him for an interview pulling out some rare blend they only smoke with family.
From this video I learned the Art of Cleaning when a cigar goes out. Since then, I truly enjoy cleaning the stick to the filler taking away all of the black and having a nice wrapper shell to relight. The aroma of the wrapper alone is almost euphoric..

(3 months ago)The Sahakiens make me smile every time I watch one of the videos. You can sense the love and respect between father and son working together.

(3 months ago)You never forget your first love, your first Davidoff and your first Doors' record. I still have vivid memories of driving to work in June 1967 and hearing the long version of Light My Fire for the first time on CKLW - 50,000 watt flame thrower out of Windsor, Ontario. A Davidoff and The Doors does kind of work well together.
