I remember the buzz about this cigar. Many moons ago…I didn’t think they were being produced anymore, and I never did get around to trying them.A buddy of mine, who lives in Tucson, told me I could still pick up a fiver for under 30 bucks. I did some quick research to see if it fit in my wheelhouse …(Strength wise)(Med+ to full) All these ratings came popping up… 93 from cigar aficionado??? IMO,They’re stingy with their ratings! A 92 from half wheel… 30 bucks… OK, I’ll bite! Thru them in the tank around Thanksgiving (naked).. popped one out this afternoon…Oh my winner, winner chicken dinner🤪 I got creamy wet leather, cedar, like a stale peanut thing(sounds gross, but it was actually awesome)..some pepper, a long enjoyable finish with hints of Granny Smith apples 🍏.. Just ordered 10 more!!!🤙🏻

(11 months ago)Thanks to you, @shortstackz and a couple other Brothers of the Leaf, I'm becoming a big believer in the advantage of storing cigars naked (without cellophane). Not always, but there are some that just seem to call for that. Undoubtedly, it increases the rate of cigars' ageing/development. Hmmmmm... I may just store all of 'em that way eventually. One has to be extra careful when handling them, though, so as not to damage the delicate wrappers. 👍

(11 months ago)Do you store all your cigars that way?

(11 months ago)i’ve been storing all my cigars that way for a long, long time. Back in the olden days the cellophane they used on most cigars (not all) wasn’t plant based and the cigar couldn’t breathe. It has always worked for me, so I just stuck with it.
