Picked up some David and Goliath's to gift to some friends, I'd had some Tabernacle Cigars before but not these particular perfectos- I was smart to gift myself a few, as well!
😜
It's been busy at work (I drive a concrete mixer in NYC), and I do some of my better smoking there, in what has become "my element"- that truck.
It started off with earth tones that remained throughout- there was cocoa and some spice in the first third.
Perfect construction, as well as a very nice burn that I barely had to touch up.
With an almost black wrapper, I'd expected it to be more full than it was- I'd call it medium/full.
Notes of pepper increase as the cigar burns down, and citrus undertones entered the flavor body as well towards the last third.
I truly enjoyed it.
An owner of one of the lounges I frequent -shout out to Vinny @ Cousin's Cigar Lounge in New Rochelle - encouraged me to step outside of my regular rotation and try Tabernacle this year and I'm very glad he did.
Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all.
