Partagas 1845 Valle Verde

On sight after removing the Valle Verde from the cellophane the beautifully vibrant band is a welcomed departure from the traditional classic Partagas Bands. The San Andreas wrapper is slightly oily, with a milk chocolatey hued leaf**. **Vitola of choice Toro 6x52.

The Cold draw exhibits, cocoa, coffee bean and subtle hint of white pepper.

The Valle Verde 1845 was enjoyed with a straight cut. The first draw effortlessly hit my palette with sweet cedar, white pepper and Chocolate. The sweetness remained and the pepper less evident -as the cigar burned through the first third evenly.

The ash was resilient and kept draws cooled and flavorful with a hint cocoa. It also promoted a pleasant room note of aromatic tobacco, not burnt ash overpowering strong smoke.

Left untouched for a couple of minutes on the tray the burn was still consistent and smooth. A testament to the premium leaf throughout from wrapper to blend. Would categorize this as a mild to medium bodied cigar. Mild strength, pepper, sweet cocoa and cedar.

Entering into the the second third the flavors remain consistent and became less nuanced and more blended. Sweet cocoa with a hint of nutty chocolate. Coffee bean pronounced and white pepper remained.

The Final Third did not disappoint. The nutty sweetness and white pepper close out an amazing smoking experience.

This Can be easily enjoyed with an espresso, sweet cola, rum or aged single malt scotch. But as always individual preference and smoking experience trumps recommendations.
