I’m not sure why it took so long for me to try this cigar. But, here we are. Oliva Master Blend 3 is box-pressed with a Nicaraguan binder and filler covered in a dark brown Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. .
This cigar is rich and bold from the get=go with cedar, pepper, nuts, chocolate, dark roast coffee, earth, leather, sweetness with hints of floral, herbal and licorice Retrohale is very peppery with a hint of earthy leather. Pepper increases in the flavor profile as well into the final third. There were a few notes that were astringent. The cigar became harsh and bitter at the finale. Medium bodied and strength all the way through the smoke.
Thick white smoke pours out of this thing. Smoke production is awesome. The light grey ash held most of the time. It did fall off twice at about the one inch mark. The draw was tight initially. Perfect Draw to the rescue.
I enjoyed most of the cigar until the final third, which makes this a tough call on scoring it. I’m feeling generous. It’s a 4 despite the disappointing finish.

(6 months ago)Thanks for the review. I'm looking forward to smoking one I was gifted. I'm attracted to many cigars by their bands; that one caught my eye some time ago. That's a beautiful label on the bottle, too. Eye candy. Cheers!
