Good morning all, the coffee has been on since 0420 and it's already "Hump Day". I see that the NY Rangers dropped another one last night, lets go fellas and turn things around. They play tomorrow evening again, hopefully they can figure out a way to win one for a change. Anyway, enjoy everyone and remember to be safe out there.......🤓

That'll all depend on how much rain we get as the inclement weather is heading our way. Overnight, the rain will change over to freezing rain, sleet and snow. We have a weather call tonight to determine if we'll work remotely tomorrow and the status of West Point as well:

This minor warm up will help with melting some of the snow on the streets and get us ready for the freezing rain they are predicting for the end of the week. The NY Rangers will be taking on the Florida Panthers tonight at home at Madison Square Garden starting at 1900 (7 pm). Hope you all have a great day and enjoy....... 🤓

Congrats to the Rams and the Bengals for making it to the Super Bowl, should make for a good game for sure. Congrats to the NY Rangers as well for their 3 - 2 victory yesterday over the Seattle Kraken. Beth and I watched quite a bit of the Rolex 24 and the last few laps was out of control. Congrats to all the series winners and I hope the rest of the IMSA season will be just as exciting to watch:

(3 years ago)Good morning everyone, the coffee is on and it's Friday! We had a great at Aroma, place was hoppin' and everyone was enjoying top shelf cigars and all. Unfortunately, the NY Rangers came up short loosing 5 - 3, they'll be back at it tonight against the Minnesota Wild starting at 2000 (8 pm). Also this weekend, we have the NFL Conference Championship games on Sunday to determine who goes to the Superbowl. My prediction is the Chiefs vs. the Rams in the big game come February 13th. Lastly, the Rolex 24 starts tomorrow afternoon live from Daytona, FL:

We had a good weekend overall, spent Saturday at the Aroma Cigar Room with the fellas and the had a nice dinner at home with Beth. Yesterday after doing some grocery shop, we relaxed at the house and enjoyed a few cold one while watching a couple of great NFL games on the television. I would have loved to see Buffalo advance in the Payoffs but a big congrats to the Chiefs on a well played game. Have a great week all and enjoy........ 👍

(3 years ago)Good morning all, the coffee is on and it's Friday! We had a good night at Aroma, a number of the regulars were out as well as a few of our friends we haven't see in a while. Weather wise, we ended up with roughly 3" of snow yesterday and currently it's -2°F with the wind chill. There are going to be some good NFL Football games both Saturday and Sunday starting at 1630 (4:30 pm) tomorrow. The NY Rangers are hot on the ice right now and NASCAR is heating up as well with the first race of the year coming the 6th of February. Enjoy the weekend everyone....... 🍻

We have an early day today as we have to be in at 0700 so I'll be heading towards West Point shortly and taking it easy with possible black ice in certain places on the mountain. Wanted to ensure I had a full belly prior to going out and clearing the heavy snow from the side and walkways as well as the vehicles and driveway. Unfortunately, the Eagles played horribly yesterday and got eliminated from the NFL playoffs just as the Cowboys, Steelers, Patriots and the Raiders. One good thing to consider, the NASCAR season starts the 6th of February in Los Angeles at the Coliseum:

Today, we will lay Beth's brother Tommy to rest as he passes away peacefully back in December with his family by his side. He passed away from Alzheimer's which is a terrible disease and it's even worse for the caregivers that have to watch their love ones fade away. Tommy was a great father, grandfather, brother and husband to his loving family. Rest in peace brother, you are dearly missed and will not be forgotten. Until we meet again....... 👍

We had a good weekend overall: Saturday, we had a celebration of life for one of Beth's brothers that passed away before Christmas and we're honoring another one of her brothers that passes two weeks prior this coming Friday. Both brothers passes away peacefully from Alzheimer's, god rest their souls. I hope you all have a great week and enjoy....... 🤓

(3 years ago)Good morning all, the espresso coffee is on and it's Friday! We had a good time at Aroma last night, the usual suspects were out and a number of old faces we haven't seen in a while. Weather wise, we have received a few inches of snow so far and it's dwindling down as we speak. West Point called a "Code Red" until 1000 (10 am) and we will host an updated call at 0800 (8 am) if it needs to be extended or not. Have a great weekend everyone and enjoy....... 🍻

As planned yesterday, I pulled out the snow blower and gave it the once over. A few pumps on the primer, full choke and one pull fired up the machine like it's been running all year. Mother nature has some snow predicted for tonight (only 3"), not enough to use the snow blower but I'm sure soon enough we'll get dumped on in the near future. It was a nice 15 days away from the office, I'm sure that there will be plenty of catch up work tomorrow and clear out unneeded emails and such.
