El Gueguense The Wise Man Maduro
El Gueguense The Wise Man Maduro robusto is a box-pressed Nicaraguan puro with a very dark brown, thinly veined San Andres wrapper.
Wood, oak but primarily cedar, dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, pepper, earthy mineral notes, and a touch of creaminess. The pepper and coffee become more dominant as the cigar progresses into the final third. The Wise Man Maduro is bold, balanced and fairly complex.
Excellent draw with slight resistance, good smoke output, solid tight grey ash, and a near perfect burn line, just one minor touchup.
In my opinion, it’s medium-full body, but this bad boy has some strength to it. Tread lightly. I found out the hard way trying to beat the rain during the second third…which I did, by the way. Final: FC Bear – 1, Rain United – Nil. Although the pitch was a tad damp. The construction is superb. It won’t go out on you.
