I'm new to the #cigarlifestyle and to the #cigarsmoker terminology. Regardless of this I'm finding the experience enjoyable so far since quitting cigarettes for cigars due to health reasons.
In my short time with cigars I have sampled three types of Cohiba, two types of Man O' War, Ave Maria Immaculata, Archetype Axis Mundi, Punch Classico, Hoyo de Monterrey, Connecticut by Rocky Patel, Cain Daytona, 5 Vegas Gold, Erin Go Bragh Irish Whiskey Sweet, Alec Bradley Gatekeeper, Oliva Serie G, and a few various fumas from different brands.
I have cut them normally. I have crown, cross, and single v cut them. I have punched and double punched them.
I have lit them with a match, a cedar strip, a bic lighter, and a torch lighter.
I have puffed on them right away as I was lighting them and I have roasted the foot good, blowing a good red cherry before ever taking a puff.
With all these types and brands of cigars combined with different smoking methodologies I have discovered one interesting thing so far:
I have not found a cigar yet that I haven't enjoyed enough not to buy it again except a couple really cheap fumas and that was mostly due to construction.
Cooking as I have done for a living I have started working out food and alcohol pairings for the cigars that I am tasting from beers and burgers to fine dining with wines and liquors.
All in all it has been a much more enjoyable experience than cigarettes were and I'm definitely feeling a difference in my lungs for the better.
