I first discovered Macanudo's in the Mid 1980's. They were very much dominating the premium market. I always enjoyed them. I occasionally will go back, but with so many incredible sticks out today it is hard. I bought a five pack of the Inspirado labels. The is the first one I am trying. Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper aged for 6 yrs, Indonesian binder and Nicaraguan and San Andres filler rounds out a very nice smoke. If you don't not like a powerhouse cigar this mild offering is not for you as it is creamy and subtle.

(11 months ago)In rotation for morning coffee pairing. The Cafe is my favorite Macanudo but the Inspirado does the job just fine. Nice morning mild smoke.

(11 months ago)Nice! Same with the Macanudo Cafe series. Not a powerhouse, but oh, such good flavors. And, their wrappers' heady aroma take me back to the '70s and '80s.

(11 months ago)I agree with that. I always tell the younger guys how back in the days before the cigar boom Macanudo was a top dog. Hard to believe how fast it was relegated by all the new cigar blends.
