Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Espressivo was a highly rated stick when released and it is as advertised – a Nicaraguan puro box pressed robusto with a somewhat oily brown wrapper with just a few veins. And an impressive cigar. I hadn’t smoked one since last summer, but once lit the first few puffs brought all the flavors back to me.
Cedar, earth, almonds, chocolate, coffee – almost espresso, A few puffs of tropical fruit taste, herbs and mild pepper join the choir late in the first third. There’s a nice balance to the flavors. The retrohale is peppery with the aroma of charred wood. There’s an unidentifiable sweetness melded into the chocolate than turns dark chocolate during the final third – a nice finishing touch to the smoke.
Construction is top notch – perfect draw, dead even burn line (put the torch away), good smoke output.
This is a cigar deserving of its ratings and reviews. I will add my positive review with 5s across the board. If you haven’t experience it yet, give the Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua a try.
