Aganorsa Leaf Guardian Of The Farm Apollo Seleccion de Warped is a full tilt corojo & criollo Nicaraguan puro 6 x 44 Lonsdale. The wrapper is light brown with tiny veins. The primary band is the blackish dark brown and gold Guardian of the Farm bulldog logo. The secondary is a blue and gold Warped logo band.
The initial flavors are minimal – wood, pepper, coffee, cream, and a hint of ginger in the spice arena. A few puffs of cereal and light mineral & herbal notes are in play during the end of the first third. Beyond that, there are no transitions and little complexity. By the midway point, I’m only tasting wood, pepper and coffee.
Reasonably open draw, but a crooked burn line, flaky ash and limited smoke output. The cap broke during the final third – due to soft spot, I believe – and the cigar turned mushy. Unable to finish the last third.
I was not impressed with the Aganorsa Leaf Guardian of the Farm Apollo Seleccion de Warped. Despite its high rating, I like other Guardian of the Farm and most Warped cigars I’ve smoked better than this collaboration. When a top rated cigar disappoints, I wax between being upset for investing in it and thinking “what am I missing here?” We all have our own personal tastes in sticks.
