A Toast ...

This Freewill cigar was a random pick I pulled from my humidor on the off chance I would have time to smoke something. The setting was a rainy afternoon after burying my grandfather that morning.

Sitting with my brother and my father on a back porch watching the rain fall, the ducks in the yard, the birds in the trees and the smoke swirl into oblivion. We started with coffee and then moved into the bourbon and moonshine, then went back to coffee.

It was a long, slow process and this cigar was an ideal companion. I don’t know if I would have picked it if I had given too much thought into what I was selecting, but it worked perfectly. The Toro Grande was a long smoke that stayed consistent throughout. I got coffee and nut flavors and it was full enough to keep my interest on the flavors from start to finish.

I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t expecting much, with it being an exclusive cigar but I do recommend it.

Having a good, long smoke when you need a good, long smoke is a great feeling.

Rest easy Pap.
