Reviewed this cigar but had to repost here...it was that nice!
What an unexpectedly amazing smoke, paired with a couple (okay a few) Heineken (is that plural...kinda like Moosen)?
Anyway, all kidding aside. The beautiful nose on this cigar had me before I even removed the foot band. Sweet on the nose, almost a candied spice.
A Nicaraguan puro, this Panatela (6.75"x38) is gently box-pressed and is profiled as medium+ cigar. I really enjoyed this cigar's dense gray smoke and pleasant aroma, while leaving only a hint of spice and wood on the palate.
Construction was amazing as well for such a small ring gauge with evenly burning ash throughout (1.5" @ first ash). Took a remarkably deep v-cut without the cap completely falling apart, something I've seen much larger cigars not manage. Draw was as good as it gets.
Priced at around $17 a piece or a box of ten for nearly $160, it's not a cheap cigar but man it was worth every penny.
