All Saints St. Francis Colorado Churchill

Smoked: All Saints St. Francis Colorado Churchill

All Saints St. Francis Colorado Churchill is a box pressed Nicaraguan cloaked in a smooth light brown Colorado shade wrapper that appears and tastes very much like a Connecticut Shade. “If it quacks like a duck“ doesn’t quite apply, but it’s close. If I didn’t know it was a Colorado, I would think it was a Connecticut Shade wrapper – certainly in taste.

Flavors: cashews, cedar, vanilla creaminess, dried fruit, some earthiness, and very minimal pepper. Spice pops in during the second third, but also very mild, subtle. The retrohale includes a little more pepper and some earthy and nut notes.

The construction was flawless – perfect draw, spot on dead even burn line, put the torch away burn line, plenty of smoke output and stayed that way to the nub. This was a fast-burning cigar.

All Saints St. Francis Colorado is a mellow medium-mild shade. It’s similar to the Liga Undercrown Shade. I paired it with a dram of Kilchoman Islay scotch. I prefer the robusto in taste, but the Churchill works too.
