The Best Cameroon Cigars
To celebrate Cameroon tobacco in all its wonderfully-approachable-balance of sweet and spicy, the team at Cigar World has put together a comprehensive list of the best Cameroon cigars.
First, if you’re asking, what’s Cameroon tobacco?
Cameroon tobacco is normally used in wrappers. While it’s named Cameroon, this tobacco is technically grown in two different countries in Africa:
- Cameroon
- Central African Republic
Cameroon tobacco is prized for its toothy appearance as well as a rich, sweet taste that finishes with a touch spice.
A little history on Cameroon wrappers.
The bulk of Cameroon wrappers are really found in the Arturo Fuente, ACID, and Partagas lines. However, the Cameroon wrapper has become rarer over the years. A large part of that rarity could be that a vast majority of Cameroon wrappers are grown by the Meerapfel family. Their exclusive leaf is cultivated in direct sunlight by local farmers in central Africa who use traditional farming techniques. They truly prefer a quality over quantity approach to tobacco farming.

(3 years ago)Oliva Serie G is my favorite so far but I'm new to cigars and haven't tried very many as yet in the couple months I've been smoking.
Cohiba Red Dot would be my second choice.

(3 years ago)The Cuesta Rey Cabinet line had Cameroon wrappers and were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, this line has dwindled to two sizes and only one has a Cameroon wrapper now.
