2024 Cigar World Rundown

2024 is nearly at an end, and you know what that means — it’s time for the annual release of “cigar of the year” lists from the cigar media. While we love a good list as much as anyone else, here at Cigar World, we wanted to do something different with our end-of-the-year recap. Rather than having a panel of experts or blind judges determine the best cigar of the year, we’re spotlighting five cigars that you — our fans — couldn’t stop raving about in 2024. Check them out here in our Cigar World rundown!

Macanudo Emissary España: 2024 Rating, 4.425

Macanudo Emissary España generated a lot of buzz this year. The new release was the first Macanudo to feature Spanish tobacco, it received a 90 rating from Cigar Aficionado, and it garnered more reviews from Cigar World fans than any other cigar. Pick this smoke up if you’re eager to try Spanish tobacco — or if you enjoy aged, balanced cigars with cedar, almond, and caramel tasting notes.

Diesel Fool’s Errand Worthy Fool: 2024 Rating, 4.75

The final entry in Diesel’s Fool’s Errand trilogy proved a massive hit with Cigar World users this year. Worthy Fool was both one of the most-reviewed cigars this year and one of the highest-rated. This full-bodied collaboration between AJ Fernandez and Justin Andrews delivers a signature Diesel smoke with its spicy Ecuadorian wrapper and bold Nicaraguan fillers. Grab a few while you still can!

Oliva Connecticut Reserve: 2024 Rating, 4.444

There’s much to love about Oliva’s Connecticut Reserve. From the silky Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper to the flavor profile of vanilla and rum, this mellow-bodied beauty captivated Cigar World smokers in 2024. Oliva may get more press for its Serie V line, but Connecticut Reserve is an approachable, winning smoke for newcomers and seasoned smokers alike.

CAO Fasa Sol: 2024 Rating, 4.57

Earlier this year, CAO released a pair of cigars (Fasa Sol and Fasa Noche) that contained the same blend *EXCEPT* for the wrappers. While both received positive reviews, Fasa Sol is the clear winner, according to the Cigar World community. Fasa Sol is a medium-bodied cigar with a classic Honduran OSA Sol wrapper — an ideal everyday smoke, particularly for longtime CAO fans.

My Father the Judge: 2024 Rating, 4.833

Like everyone else who’s tried it, Cigar World users love My Father The Judge. A genuinely incredible cigar, this bold, naturally sweet cigar is one of the most universally beloved smokes on the market. If you haven’t had it for yourself, consider this your excuse to pick up a box.
