Smoked: Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro

Kindly gifted by an online friend, I was greatly looking forward to trying my first Drew Estate cigar, an Undercrown Maduro, that had been resting in my humidor for 4 months. All I can say, really, that it was a “unique” cigar. Unique in the fact that the flavors from the Brazilian tobacco therein made me scratch my head trying to come up with relatable descriptors. While the construction was good with a decent burn and abundant smoke production (with the foot pouring out smoke when it rested in the ashtray), it only served to reinforce my general dislike of tobacco from Brazil. Meh. 🤢

Today is Big Ten College Football day! WOOO HOOOO! But I’m afraid Purdue will get their ashes kicked by Notre Dame. ND actually LOST to Northern Illinois University last week! (Insert another “WOOO HOOOO!” here.) Dare I hope for a similar upset in today’s longtime rivalry game? Hope springs eternal. And, here’s hoping you all have a great weekend!

And oh, by the way, today’s football cigar is going to be an old tried-and-true favorite, yet to be determined. A Montecristo Platinum Series robusto, perhaps? We shall see… Cheers! 🥂😊
