Cigar Reviewed: Romeo y Julieta Romeo y Julieta 1875
Ok, so here is where I sound like a snob. I’m reviewing a modern-day classic cigar that should be excellent and yet, I struggle to give it super high marks.
When you have a great cigar and know ‘wow, this kicks butt’…you know. I didn’t get that blown away feeling from this RyJ.
Don’t get me wrong, it was fine. I would smoke it again. Hell, I would buy it again…but it isn’t one that I would throw in a buddy’s face and say ‘you have to try this!’
I also wouldn’t give it to an enemy because it is too good to be wasted on bad people.
In my mind, this cigar is a perfect middle of the road smoke. You could buy a box of these for any event that has a mix of cigar-type people, from snobbers to novices, and it wouldn’t disappoint. Sure, the snob elite want something a little more high-end so they can post to social media accounts and get some cred but they would be content to puff away on this. The newbies would see it and say ‘gee thanks man’ and be content with a name they sort of recognize and think you care about their feelings. As the buyer you make everyone happy and content without going broke.
Good smoke.

(38 days ago)I'm a middle of your 2 category smoker...I really do like the flavors from this stick. From the wrapper sweetness on the lips to the full rounded floral, warm raisin bread long finish. The aroma of the burning head fills the room with a sweetness I find hard to describe but like... Just a delicious smoke.
