Cigar Reviewed: Nub by Oliva Maduro

The Nub Maduro is a flavorful smoke. At 4 x 60 it is just the right size for a lunch break with a cup of my favorite Mavericks Coffee blend. The Nub Madura cold draw is all dark chocolate and tobacco. The Brazilian wrapper smells and tastes wonderful. Once lit, you get richer chocolate and coffee notes with a sumptuous smoke, easy draw, and even burn. As you relax into the smoke you begin to get occasional notes of caramel apple. It's a nice contrast to the full bodied spiciness that emerges near the end of the smoke. About 45 minutes gets you to the band. The cigar is a beautiful dark chocolate brown and is constructed really well. Some folks don't take this short, fat smoke seriously. But it's an respectable choice, especially when you're smoking time is limited.
