Smoked: Macanudo Inspirado Green

I've got to be honest -- I'm still something of a cigar neophyte. I typically pick them up a few at a time at a local tobacco store. It's a trial-and-error process to find my preferred taste profiles.

This was my first time with a Macanudo of any type, and I liked it! It's got a great, earthy smell right off the bat. When I lit it up, the smell and taste were really great. It has a peppery flavor that's great for a chilly fall evening. But it also has a smooth, creamy sweetness to it that keeps the pepper from overwhelming.

I'll definitely keep this one in mind when visiting the store again. It probably won't be a regular taker for me, but it definitely would be a first choice when I get a quality bottle of red wine that has coffee notes.
