Macanudo M Espresso with Cream (Bellisco)

Cigar Reviewed: Macanudo M Espresso with Cream

Smoked at: Long Beach, MS

Right from the wrapper, the Macanudo M Espresso with Cream Bellisco gave off a delightful sweet aroma that instantly reminded me of a rich coffeehouse. The creaminess was there, but it wasn’t overwhelming. If I had to compare it to something, it was like a freshly brewed espresso with a dollop of smooth cream, with just a hint of sweetness.

The cigar felt solid in hand with a slight sponginess, typical of infused cigars but nothing that detracts from its quality. The cold draw was smooth, with a subtle yet noticeable espresso note, but not too bold. It was more of a background note that made me think of dark coffee beans. Upon lighting, I was greeted with a mild but satisfying espresso flavor with creamy undertones. It didn’t take long for that coffee cream flavor to intensify, but it wasn’t overpowering. There was a gentle balance between the creaminess and the espresso, providing a satisfying experience.

As I progressed into the second third, the flavor profile stayed consistent, but a more subtle nuttiness started to emerge, like a light almond or hazelnut in the background, giving the cigar even more depth. The creaminess lingered nicely, pairing well with the smooth, medium-bodied espresso notes. The burn was perfect, no complaints here. The draw remained excellent, and the smoke was smooth and creamy.

By the final third, I could tell this cigar was well balanced in its flavor profile. The coffee flavors mellowed just slightly, making room for the creamier, smoother finish I had hoped for. A little bit of woodiness started to show, but it wasn’t harsh at all, more like the pleasant undertone you get when the coffee is brewed just right.

In terms of pairing, I found this cigar to be great with a rich espresso or a smooth black coffee. But I’d also recommend it with a light cream soda or even something like an Irish cream liqueur if you’re feeling adventurous.

Overall, the Macanudo M Espresso with Cream Bellisco is a great choice if you’re into infused cigars with a smoother, sweeter flavor profile. It’s not too bold, but just enough to leave you satisfied. If you like a touch of creaminess with your coffee flavors, this one is definitely worth the try
