Review of Macanudo Emissary Espana.

Pre-light aroma:

Cedar and cocoa.

Appearance:

Nice dark brown wrapper with oily sheen. Cigar is tightly packed cigar with no soft spots.

Cold draw:

Caramel and cedar

Smoking experience:

1st/3rd:

Initial draw brings notes of caramel and cedar. Almond flavor joins later with some spiciness. Burn and the draw is nice. Ash is firm as you can see on the photo. Strength is mild-medium.

2nd/3rd

The flavor remains consistent before the lemon is introduced. Spiciness kicks in a notch. Marriage of the flavors makes it very smooth. Hint of coffee joins in the latter part of the third. Ash remained firm for a good portion before it fell off. Smoke production is medium and the strength is now medium.

Final/3rd

Profile remains consistent before the spiciness becomes the dominant flavor. The strength is now medium-full. The cigar continues to produce nice amount of smoke and flavor is very smooth.

Overall review:

Macanudo Emissary Espana is a well balanced, smooth and flavorful cigar. It provides an enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this cigar.
