Cigar Reviewed: Drew Estate Isla del Sol

This Isla Del Sol Sun Grown (or Sun Blessed) was my second foray into the Isla Del Sol world. I tried (and liked) the Maduro version of this blend and was given this Sun Grown to try as well.

It was exactly what I was expecting because the flavoring and profile is very close to the Maduro version. The infused coffee flavoring and sweetness is not overpowering or cloyingly annoying. It is just right. This is a good go-to breakfast cigar to accompany a morning coffee.

I did encounter a few burn issues (which I was also warned about) but nothing that was too cumbersome or hard to redirect. The issues did not take away from the enjoyment.

I literally sat on my back porch and watched the sun come up while I smoked this. If I could recommend an experience like that, do it.

Just know that if you show up at my house pre-dawn, watch out for the dogs.
