Cigar Reviewed: My Father Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial

Smoked at: West Chester, Ohio

Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial is a medium-full bodied Nicaraguan covered in a smooth Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper with a few small veins.

Oak and cedar, pepper, cocoa, almonds, dark roast coffee, earth, vegetal notes and leather with dried fruit, toffee and mild spice joining the ensemble during the second third.

The draw is open offering just enough resistance, a bit lacking in smoke volume, but a sharp even burn line – only a couple of cosmetic touchups applied.

Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial is a good cigar. There’s balance, some complexity and a decent flavor profile. This was an enjoyable smoke.
