Cigar Reviewed: GrayCliff

Smoked at: New Jersey

I haven't had a Graycliff in a very long time, so I decided to purchase some to see if they were still as good as they used to be. (I notice some of the boutique cigars are never as consistent for long like the well known cigar companies.) The cigar looked a little different to me and also felt a little loose at the tip, so I was a bit worried this was going to be a bust. I did have a few on hand, so I made sure to give all of them a try. The prelight aroma was sweet, kind of like chocolate, the light up was a bit of a hassle at first. The first 1/4 of this Graycliff was average nothing special but after that, the cigar opened up to some nice flavors, with some really nice clouds of smoke and the firm ash on this cigar would not move. I especially enjoyed the middle to last 1/3 of this old time smoke. I was really impressed with this cigar. It was way better than I expected it to be. Now, is it the level of an AJ Fernandez Hoyo? probably not, but it's definitely a good cigar worth a try.
