Smoked: Graycliff Artisan Pinstripe Connecticut Presidente
Smoked at: West Chester, Ohio
Graycliff Artisan Pinstripe Connecticut Presidente is an unusual pinstripe with a thin leaf of Habano woven into a Nicaraguan Connecticut Shade wrapper.
Cedar, earth, hay, spice, coffee, and light pepper that kicks up during the final third where an occasional notes of nut also occurs. The flavors are limited and basic, but every time my palate is telling me it’s a “meh” smoke, I keep going back to the cigar. I have to give it a 3. Heck, I smoked it to the two-inch left mark.
Reasonably open draw, fairly even burn line, although it did go off-kilter where the thin Habano wrapper and Connecticut join at the burn line. The smoke output was adequate.
I must say I like the overall look of this cigar between the red band and the odd pinstripe design. The flavors are minimal with no transitions nor complexity. Yet, I found the Graycliff Artisan Pinstripe Connecticut a decent smoke.
