Smoked: Espinosa Crema

Smoked at: West Chester. Ohio

Espinosa Crema robusto is a mild ot med-milt bodied, mild strength cigar that works quite nicely paired with a good cup of coffee.

Flavor profile: Pepper, spice, cream, earth, nuts, cedar, hay, cereal (malt) into cream and cocoa (kind of like a latte) during the last third. Part of the flavor is almost breakfast-like – butter on toast dipped in cream of wheat. There’s a lot going on here, but it all works – combining into a balanced, enjoyable morning smoke.

The ash is not flaky, holds well for a good inch before dropping (or I roll it off). The burn line was even and the draw was terrific and very cool.

The Espinosa Crema is a decent morning coffee pairing. It doesn’t make my top 5, but it’s in the top 10. For the entire countdown for this week – in order – listen Saturday morning to Casey’s Bear On The Air Top 40 Countdown. “Keep your feet on the ground. And keep reaching for the ‘gars.”
