Cigar Reviewed: CAO Flathead

Appearance: Dark and toothy, fairly large with a "soft" box press. No visible seams.

Construction: Solidly rolled, no knots or soft spots. corners are rounded a bit more than average for a box pressed cigar.

First third: Woody and nutty from the first light, Milder strength wise than I expected, close to a true medium. Plenty of smoke output and glad i used a punch as this would tire out my jaw if clipped.

Second third: Strength is starting to tick up, but still not past medium full. Flavors have stayed the same at wood and nuts, a hint of spice has crept in but not much.

Final third: a little bit of tar at the punch now so recut with a guillotine, solved that problem. Cigar is staying cool to the nub and flavors are steady at wood, nuts and a solid spice note now.

Conclusions: Solid smoke, especially for the size, these oversized cigars tend to be novelties but this was a good experience cut to nub.
