Smoked: Perdomo Habano Bourbon Barrel-Aged Maduro
The tobaccos being aged for 6 years, and then an extra 10-14 months in bourbon barrels for the wrapper, then extra age on top of that in the humidor for about 3 years, this particular box of cigars has at least 10 years of age. I experienced, a very smooth smoke. With the extra age, the strength really calmed down and mellowed the cigar out. The flavors of being inside the bourbon barrels were enhanced. I got notes of, cedar, earth, spice, hints of old espresso and yes you guessed it bourbon. But the taste of vintage bourbon was only on the finish. I was pleasantly surprised by this cigar. Perdomo is kind of a hate it or love it type of brand. But I'm somewhere in the middle when it comes to perdomo cigars. Nick is such a great guy and it's hard not to like him. And I really enjoy a few cigars in his portfolio. I suggest these cigars if you sit on them for extra aging. Thanks for reading guys. God bless you all.
