Cigar Reviewed: Diesel Whiskey Row

I received two of these cigars (Diesel Whiskey Vintage Series Toro Maduro) as compensation in a recent order that was short a cigar in a box of ten Diesel Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection Mizunara Toros. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors and construction of this $5.99 stick, half the price of the Founder's Mizunara.

The smoke began with an intense amount of pepper, almost overpowering, but it mellowed a bit about a centimeter into the burn, and I began to enjoy the dark chocolate notes on the retro. The first half was not very complex, but the flavors were great, so I didn't mind the consistency. The last 3rd included some unexpected chocolate caramel and a few hints of spice. I slowed the pace on that last third to really enjoy those flavors while keeping the stick lit. Good construction, even burn throughout. Great smoke for $5.99!
