La Gloria Cubana Medio Tiempo
The Ligero grade of leaf is the highest on the tobacco plant and known for its strength and complexity. On a small number of plants, two additional tobacco leaves grow above ligero. These are called medio tiempo. These rare leaves get the full benefit of the sun to produce intense complexity and strength.
La Gloria Cubana Medio Tiempo takes its name from these rare leaves to deliver a uniquely masterful blend. Using medio tiempo from the Connecticut Havano tobacco plant, this tobacco adds layers to the smoking experience, peppering the blend with deep, rich complexity. So unique is the medio tiempo leaf that it can be easily identified by its stand-out brownish-black color which is visible at the foot of the cigar prior to lighting.
Along with the Connecticut Havano, the blend for La Gloria Cubana Medio Tiempo consists of hand-selected Honduran, Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos, with a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and a rich Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper. All these tobaccos come together in a smoking experience that delivers cascading notes of leather, coffee, nuts and butter.
