For this edition of Cigar World's Artisan's Corner, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Jason Lois. An artist who is also a member of the cigar community with a history of having worked in the industry in many capacities.
As a part of Cigar World's City Survival Guide Series we will be bringing some features on must see neighborhood's in Miami. Our first neighborhood is an area called Wynwood. It’s known for the multitude of murals, eclectic shops and restaurants.
You only need three things to join the Dead Leaf Breakfast Club: a camera, an eye for photography, and a love of cigars. Founded four years ago during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Dead Leaf Breakfast Club allows photographers with a passion for cigars (and cigar lovers with a passion for photography) the chance to smoke and capture some of their favorite brands on camera.
The hustle doesn’t stop for our Cigar World community, especially when it comes to these creative entrepreneurs. For this Artisan’s Corner, we wanted to bring some attention to Luke Wessman, especially since it is National Tattoo Day. Luke is a renowned tattoo artist, as well as an overall entrepreneur and cigar enthusiast. We were lucky enough to get in touch with Luke, even with his insane schedule which includes his full-time tattoo job, golf hobby, brand collaborations, traveling and more.
For this latest edition of Cigar World Shop Dogs meet Mufasa, an eight-year-old Pomeranian who you can find patrolling Lake Country Cigar Lounge in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Cigar World had the opportunity to sit down with Angela Brown, Marketing Director of Black Label Trading Co, to learn about how she broke into the industry and a few of her favorite cigar pairings.
Sometimes, we come across some unique creators in our search for Artisan’s Corner, and Skate Chair definitely fits this mold. Not only are John’s creations different, but they reuse items that would typically be thrown away, so we loved the sustainability part of these pieces. We were fortunate to spend a day with Sandy Cobas and her daughter, Giselle Herrera, at El Titan de Bronze on our most recent trip to Miami and learn all about Sandy, the factory, and the amazing, empowering story to how they got started.
For this week's Cigar World WCW we spent some time with Izola Woods, better known as Izzy. She is a brand ambassador for Drew Estate, a Broadleaf Broad, a Bourbon enthusiast, and an overall leader in the cigar space.
